Nashville, TN – February 25, 2026 – Silhouette Design Architecture congratulates clients LaTrelle’s Management Corporation and SSP America on two wins at the 2026 Airport Experience Awards, presented during this year’s Airport Experience Conference in Nashville.
The annual awards recognize excellence across the North American airport concessions and hospitality industry, celebrating standout concepts, operators, brands, and passenger experiences.
Silhouette-designed projects were honored in two food and beverage categories:
Best Bar Experience – Medium/Small Airports
The Rustic by LaTrelle’s Management Corporation

Best Casual Dining Concept – Large Airports
Rappahannock Oyster Bar by SSP America
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
For both award-winning concepts, Silhouette Design Architecture worked closely with its partners to translate established local brands into distinctive airport hospitality experiences that balance strong storytelling with the operational demands of high-volume travel environments.
At William P. Hobby Airport, The Rustic brings the spirit of the popular Texas restaurant and live-music destination into the terminal through a warm, energetic environment rooted in the brand’s distinctly Texas identity. The concept combines an approachable bar experience with regional character, creating a memorable gathering place for travelers while maintaining the efficiency required of an airport operation.
At Washington Dulles International Airport, Rappahannock Oyster Bar celebrates Virginia’s Chesapeake Bay heritage and the locally rooted story of Rappahannock Oyster Company. The restaurant pairs an elevated yet approachable seafood experience with a design that reinforces its connection to the region, offering travelers an authentic sense of place within one of the nation’s busiest international gateways.
These two awards follow eight Silhouette-designed projects shortlisted across six categories for the 2026 AX Awards and reflect the firm’s continued focus on creating memorable, place-driven hospitality environments in airports across North America.
